Ten-element photodetector

Ten-element photodetector is unique in design and in application: we have added four photodiodes to a six-element transmission trap to further reduce optical power in transmitted beam. Moreover, in measurements of polarised light rotating the device around horizontal axis can additionally attenuate the intensity of transmitted beam. This property is a valuable application in photonics where low-level light beams are compared to conventional high-intensity radiation in controllable way. The ten-element photodetector with coaxial input and output beams has been fully measured for responsivity, transmittance, spatial uniformity and transmitted beam shape. In summary, the characterization of the photodetector exhibits excellent results in terms of calculable optical properties.... Click to open full document as pdf file
